Optimized Heating

This is how the PAX 2 communicates with you. The PAX 2 employs conduction vaporization, which puts your dry herb into direct contact with the heating systems within your vape. This works much in the same way as a kitchen hob, directly heating your dried herbs.

How To Use the PAX 2

The PAX 2 has been designed to be as simple as possible to use. It is extremely intuitive but we thought we’d give you a walkthrough just to show you how easily you can be up and running.

1. How to fill your PAX 2

Remove the mouthpiece and the magnetic oven lid. Grind up your dried herb and pack it into the oven. The oven has a capacity of approx 0.3 grams. If you want to be precise, you can weigh it out in advance. Once it’s packed, replace the oven lid and the mouthpiece.

2. Operating the PAX 2

You turn the device on with a short press in the center of the mouthpiece. The PAX 2 should heat up in approximately 45 seconds. The LEDs will flash purple until ready and then they’ll turn green. Take a gentle draw of your PAX 2 and enjoy!

You can adjust the temperature of your device with a long press of the mouthpiece button. The temperature presets are yellow (360°F), orange (380°F), orange-red (400°F), and red (420°F). Wondering how to find out how much battery you’ve got left? Simply give your PAX 2 a shake and the indicator will show you.

3. How to Clean your PAX 2

Cleaning your PAX 2 is extremely straightforward and a thorough clean takes less than 5 minutes. Each PAX 2 comes with a Maintenance Kit. Inside the Maintenance kit is everything you will need to keep your PAX 2 clean:

1. The first thing you’ll need to do is prepare your device for cleaning. Remove the mouthpiece, oven lid, and oven screen. Ensure your device has had enough time to cool down after your last use. Use the pipe cleaner to remove any material that is still inside the oven.
2. Prepare a small bowl and add some of the isopropyl alcohol from your maintenance kit. 
3. Dip one of the included pipe cleaners into the bowl of alcohol and then insert it into the vapor pathway (inside the mouthpiece). You can repeatedly scrub the pathway in a “flossing” action until all residue has been loosened.
4. Submerge the oven screen and mouthpiece in the bowl (not the oven lid, just the screen).
5. Grab some q-tips and dip them in the alcohol. Use these to swab the inside of the PAX 2’s oven and the top of your device.
6. Rinse the mouthpiece and oven screen in water and ensure they are dry before reassembling your PAX 2.
7. And that’s it, you’re good to go. Notice the difference in taste, draw resistance, and performance?
