Empire Glassworks are most renowned for designing beautiful, intricate bongs, pipes and rigs inspired by regular household items such as a hot sauce bong, Chocolate Cookie Sundae Float Mini Rig and eggplants. They have even made a pipe which looks like the Demogorgon from Netflix’s Stranger Things!
Empire Glassworks was established in 2013 by a group of artists and owners with over 40 years of soft glass crafting experience. With the team coming from multidisciplinary background jewelers, glass blowers and other artists. Empire Glasswork’s full line of handcrafted vaping and smoking accessories are individually crafted by their network of highly skilled glassblowers.
These beautiful ornaments are fashioned with a torch flame in a process known as “lampworking”. They use the finest imported European borosilicate glass and custom mixed colors. Every piece is annealed in a kiln at over 1000 degrees, making them strong and durable. Q1: Why are Empire Glassware’s products so reasonably priced considering how awesome they look?
This is a question we sometimes ask ourselves as well. You may be thinking, are Empire Glasswork’s glass products too good to be true? The truth is, Empire Glasswork’s products do range in prices depending on the size and intricacy of the art. You can get a beautiful little Eggplant Honey Straw for under $50.
Considering this is handblown glass (effectively fine art), this is incredibly well priced. You can also get their massive Rocket Ship Bong for over $500. This is all based on how complicated the glass was to create, how many hours it took for the artists to add all the detail and how much the materials themselves cost.
Q2: How do I clean Empire Glasswork’s products?
Empire Glassworks offers such a wide range of products from dabbers and straws to pipes, bongs and rigs. They are all cleaned slightly differently however we can tell you a thing or two about what we have learnt on the way. To get things started, if you want to keep your Empire Glassworks pieces clean, we recommend giving them a short clean every day depending on how frequently you use them.
The best way to clean these products is to soak them in isopropyl alcohol/rubbing alcohol for approximately 30 minutes. Some people like to put the smaller pieces into a ziplock bag with the alcohol and close them before shaking them to remove the residue. You can then rinse off the products in warm water to remove the leftover alcohol. If you need to clean hard to reach areas, use a q-tip or some cotton buds. Always take care when cleaning your glassware so as not to break it!
