The G Pen Elite is a high-performance and portable convection vaporizer that has many similar priced competitors in this market. How does the GPen Elite compare to other vaporizers such as the Pax 2 or PAX 3 or even the G Pen Pro when it comes to temperature control, functionality, vapor quality and ease of use?
The portable, dry-herb vaporizer market is vast and although the product quality within this market is high, and even though they are well worth their value, the initial outlay can be quite high for some people.

An overview of the G Pen Elite
The G Pen Elite is a high-end portable vaporizer in both cost and spec for dry herb made by Hollywood based Vape Engineering company, Grenco Science. The company stormed onto the portable vaporizer scene with the well-renowned G Pen Pro Vaporizer which is an incredibly popular vaporizer worldwide. Grenco Science designed the GPen Elite to be an upgrade upon the G Pro in just about every department - aesthetics, performance, ease of use and portability. And they succeeded.
The first thing noticed about the Elite is that the vaporizer is extremely appealing on the eyes. A black, slender and stylish vaporizer that easily fits into the palm of that hand and looks very good there, with a futuristic looking LED screen on the side that only makes it look better.
The Elite immediately shouts out that it is perfect for discrete use, perfect for the times where you don’t want any attention drawn your way. Considering its small and stealthy aesthetics, the chamber can hold more of your dry herb than almost all of the other high-end portable vaporizers on the market.
When using the Elite, it operates just as good as you would expect from any high-end vape costing £95.95, it quickly and easily heats your dry herbs to produce a potent and thick vapor.
It does this just as well as the Pax 3, a vaporizer which is considered by most to be the best on the market and it does it for around two-thirds of the price. However, there is slight functionality difference between the two vapes which make a straight up comparison purely on cost unfair.
How does the G Pen Elite perform compared to other vapes?
The science behind how vaporizers operate has developed so much over the past ten years that almost all companies that are producing high-end portable vapes in the $100-200 region, such as Pax Labs with the Pax 2 & Pax 3 and Storz & Bickel with the Crafty are not only experts in vaporizers but in engineering as a whole. Grenco Science are no different.
The chamber holds around 0.75g of dry herb and has a full 360 degree, ceramic chamber heating system which are renowned for producing thick and tasty vapor. It also heats up in approximately 30 seconds and has a full spectrum temperature range of 200°F - 428°F, meaning that it is fully personalisable to type of dry herb being used.
Pax 2 vs. G Pen Elite comparison
The GPen Elite absolutely blows the Pax 2 away in function and cost. The Pax 2 costs 129.99, heats up in 45 seconds, holds 0.35g of dry herb and has 4 temperature levels. The G Pen Elite is around $80.00 cheaper, heats up 15 seconds quicker, holds over double the dry herb and has a full temperature range selection. The Pax 2 may look slightly more modern but this doesn’t equate to being a full $80.00 more with all things considered.
Pax 2 Vaporizer
$149.99
Pax 3 vs. G Pen Elite comparison
As previously mentioned, the Pax 3 vaporizer is considered to be the best vaporizer on the market by a lot of people for cost, function and ease of use. It is possibly more stylish than the GPen Elite depending upon your preference, but still it only holds 0.35g of dry herb compared to the Elites 0.75g and it is $130.00 more expensive at $199.99.
However, it can be used to vape dry herb and concentrates, heats up in 15 seconds and has a longer battery life. It also has a full spectrum temperature range of operation the same as the Elite, but only if you connect to it through a smart-phone app. Both the G Pen Elite and the Pax 3 are very good vaporizers but the Pax 3 justifies being $130.00 more through its additional features.
If you don’t require a vaporizer that can be used for concentrates and are not fussed about that extra hour battery life then it may be worth saving money and opting for the GPen Elite.

Crafty vs. G Pen Elite comparison
The Crafty is the cannabis connoisseurs portable vaporizer of choice and at a whooping $279.99 you would expect it to be pretty good. It is the easiest to operate and can be connected to your smartphone for remote operation and temperature customization. It is also extremely compact, discrete and can be used for both dry herbs and concentrates.
However, the Crafty only holds 0.25g of dry herb and takes around 1 minute to fully heat up, so why is it so much more expensive? Well, the Crafty is possibly the closest portable vaporizer in terms of vapor quality compared to a desktop vaporizer. It’s hybrid system combines both convection and conduction heating that heats the dry herb much more cleanly than any other vaporizer on the market. Making the flavor profile of its vapor second to none.
If you wish to be wowed and have the money for the initial outlay, the Crafty is wonderful. However, it is fully justifiable not spending over $200.00 on a portable vaporizer, which still puts the GPen Elite ahead in terms of function for cost.

Final thoughts on the GPen Elite
The world of portable vaporizers is a vast and ever growing market and understanding each and every single vape can be difficult. In this market, the G Pen Elite holds its own incredibly well, standing in the ranks of other vaporizers that cost considerably more, making this vaporizer extremely good value for money.
If you require a simple, cheap, easy to use and stylish vape with a full temperature range and a big chamber, then the G Pen Elite is for you. If you require an all singing, all dancing vaporizer with more functionality, and you want to pay more for it, then maybe the Pax 3 or the Crafty are the direction you should be looking.
Either way, The G Pen Elite is an extremely good vaporizer and it is very easy to understand why it is so popular.
